“Writing just becomes second nature, you need to be in the right environment mentally and physically.”

Shawn gives us the insight into how a scene is readjusted on location in a Indy film production. How to get the most from a set piece. And filming only what you will use. Shawn stresses the importance of a Production Manager/First AD, on every level. Production management makes it work. If you get on set and it takes two hours to set up a light rig you wont use. YOU NEED production management. It comes down to, can you use the set location in multiple scenes? Are you thinking ahead when you write the scene? Are you thinking about production costs? On a basic level, you should be. A producer doesn’t want to see $$$ when they read your work.
